In a multi-million-pound Tech investment for Wales, BFG has invested £3m in one of our long-standing clients, DevOpsGroup. This is BFG’s first deal since opening its Cardiff office.
DevOpsGroup has grown exponentially – to a team of 63, with revenues of more than £7m – in the last five years. Now, it works with a whole range of companies, from SMEs to global organisations like ASOS and Admiral. It also recently rebranded, changing its name from DevOpsGuys to DevOpsGroup, to reflect the growth of its business.
Alys Carlton, our Corporate Partner, says, ‘we absolutely love working with DevOpsGroup. We’re proud to be by their side as they develop and grow. There are some very exciting times ahead for them – and the Welsh Tech scene – because of this significant investment from BGF’.
James Smith, CEO at DevOpsGroup, said, ‘We’ve worked with Capital Law for a long time, and they genuinely understand our business and culture. Their expertise in Private Equity made navigating the investment process as smooth and enjoyable as possible! A big thanks to Tom, Alys, Laura, and the rest of the team.’
In response to the growing diversity and continued expansion within our company, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be operating as DevOpsGroup from today. The decision reflects the fact that we’re no longer just two guys – James Smith and Steve Thair – embarking on an ambitious journey to transform the way organisations deliver software and innovate. While our fiery passion remains the same, we’ve grown into a family of people looking to ignite change within the technology industry.
